phpmyadmin - How to give privilage to kill processes ?

Hello,

I have installed mysql on a server and phmyadmin.I can view all db and processes as root from my machine. But the database update is happening from a remote location whom i have given a test user to connect using phpmyadmin. Now they cannot control processes esp: kill or give priority as the server is running low on resources and many processes appear to be locked or hanged often. How can the test user be given privilege to control processes??

I agree with ilvista, you need to be careful about granting these kinds of privileges, and you really want to investigate why you're getting so many locked and hanged processes that it causes trouble. I'm betting some poor coding on someone's part in that they are opening connections, but not closing them when they're done.
