p2v Oracle Linux 5.9 kernel panic after boot


Dear frindes,
i had convert physical oracle linux machine to kvm virtual
using DD

when try to boot the virtual machine and choose the oracle unbreakable kernel from grub menu it cant see the VG and kernel panic

if i choose the oracle linux server red hat compatible kernel from grub menu
it can see the VG and LVMs but hang on udev screen

how to fix that?

You appear to be giving it an incomplete root partition. A grub entry needs the line:

kernel /somekernel root=some_partition
It's giving a string of errors saying this isn't a properly installed root partition. The system relies on basic directories existing, and they don't. Go figure.

Again, you appear to have insufficient information for the system to boot this option also . Write an /etc/fstab (man fstab). Learn about the diagnostic utilities in udev. A little reading, or googling is called foe.
