Question Oracle Enterprise Linux kernel version

Hi,

I have an Oracle Enterprise Linux 8 and I use kernel 4.18 version and I prefer to not use kernel UEK kernel.
But each time I made "yum update", the distribution remove older kernel 4.18 vesion but how you be sure that it will not remove the latest installed and running kernel 4.18 ?

Mark the package as non-updatable/locked in the yum config.

And Oracle Enterprise Linux is supportable....have you contacted Oracle support for help?? And why would you not want things updated, rather than use old/buggy software??
