For the past few days, the network interfaces in a container aren't loading. When trying to restart the network services, the output shown below is what I get. I've found SOME information online about this but none of it's been helpful. Any suggestions, guidance, or fixes would be greatly appreciated.
Quote:
root@vps [/]# /etc/init.d/network restart
Shutting down loopback interface: [ OK ]
SIOCGIFFLAGS: No such device
Bringing up loopback interface: Device lo does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
[FAILED]
Bringing up interface venet0: Device venet0 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.
[FAILED]

#1 have you asked you question over at OpenVZ.org in the forums?
#2 what kernel are you using?
#3 what template did you use for the install?
#4 what version of vzctl?
#5 chat does the conf file for the container look like?
I have seen symptoms somewhat like this before, but only when using a custom template that triggered the wrong script control set on an older kernel with a slight mismatch in the version of vzctl. Updating everything, renaming the template, and reinstalling fixed that issue. We would need a LOT more information to determine if this is related.
