How to edit PAM DB of VSFTPD (..add user, delete user, change user password )


Hi

I followed the below link to configure vsftpd virtual user configuration using pam db
But i have few problem how can i add modify the password & add new user to vsftpd-virtual-user.db.

problem facing off

Whether i have to drop the old vsftpd-virtual-user.db and create a new vsftpd-virtual-user.db

how can i migrate all users in my old vsftpd-virtual-user.db to new vsftpd-virtual-user.db file

Both actions require you to rebuild the database as far as I'm aware.

I don't know of any other way than just dumping the database with 'db_dump -p' and parsing the output. It will have user names and logins on alternating lines just like in the original input file.
