Wall it self means -- > Write to all

using wall you can send a message to all the users.

ex.
Code:
 # wall
   The system is coming down in ten minutes for unexpected maintenance.
   Please log off soon in order to save your files.
   <CTRL-d>
 #
then this message will appear on all the computers.
