Exclamation hosting asp.NET website on linux based server using Tomcat Apache

hi...
im building a website using asp.NET.

can i host the website on a Linux based server using Tomcat Apache software

is this possible or do i need to use a windows based server machine?

If all components on your website are implemented in mono then it should be possible.
Use the monostack from http://bitrock.com/products.htmlto run your asp.net site.

what is that could you plz tell me...

i am a little new to linux AND to web designing... so plz dont throw big terms at me!!

Apache + Tomcat for Java platform
Apache + Monostack for .Net platform

Apache is web server.
