plug the drive in and see if it mounts automatically.
type "mount" to see what all is mounted.
"fdisk -l" to see what is available to be mounted
then perhaps- mount <device> <mountpoint> such as mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1
if the mount point doesn't exist then you must creat it such as "mkdir /mnt/sda1"
if the filesystem isn't autodetected, you'll need to add -t <filesystem type> to the mount command, such as "mount -t xfs /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1
