"Error 16 - Inconsistent file system structure"

Hi,
I have a Centos 6.5 VM on vmware workstation. It was working fine until some time ago. I started the VM and I received an error.
"Error 16 - Inconsistent file system structure"
Need help in getting it up. Thanks!!!

Yes, I need to run fsck, thats exactly I am trying to do? But how?
I went to rescue mode by entering "linux rescue nomount"
I am trying to "fsck /dev/mapper/vg_os-lv_root"

But it gives an error. Or am I not doing something right?
Please refer screenshot.
