Which distribution are u gonna use? I use debian, which has
dhcp - DHCP server for automatic IP address assignment
dhcp3-server - DHCP server for automatic IP address assignment
to choose from.

I like to have both distribution automatic Ip to be released and static that I can fix but the most important part is that server must recognize mac adress of the device before releasing an IP can you help
