Bandwidth spiking to 3mb/s

Hi all,

Recently put up a new CentOS server hosted in florida with sago.

Every day the bandwidth spikes up to 3mb/s - then drops down to 1.34mbps in and 784kbps out - every time. Can anybody tell me how i can monitor what might be causing this? - a Simple reboot fixes the problem and everything returns to normal so i'm wondering if its software related.

Running is Webmin, VSFTP, Apache httpd. thats about it, aswell as standard distribution software loading.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,
Jack

is this incoming packets or outgoing packets ?
If the incomeing packets is spiking to 3MBps then it may be because of updates being downloaded and applied !
