Tripwire question

I checked the tripwire.org and it says that checks the system integrity.

Well, can tripwire installed after systems configuration?

What is the best moment to install that software?

Softwares like Tripwire should be installed prior to connecting the computer to any network.
Most likely you would initialize Tripwire after installation of your system. Later you will have to update the Tripwire database to accomodate the changes you made to your system configuration files.
