TPM is enabled in fresh Unbuntu install. Should I turn off?

I have just installed Unbuntu 22.04 on an old Dell Optiplex 3000. I has to go throught the BIOS to change some things in the process and noticed it had TPM enabled. Is it advisable to leave this on or can I just turn it off?

I am not competent to answer your question, but you might find this article from the Arch wiki helpful.

My instinctive response is that, if you do not intend to use it, you should turn it off, a but that's based on nothing whatsoever.
