testing the IO APIC


Hi ,
I inserteted next command in command line cat /var/log/messages |grep test
and I got output as follows.


Aug 8 08:01:19 sarajevo kernel: testing the IO APIC.......................
Aug 8 03:15:49 sarajevo kernel: testing the IO APIC.......................
Aug 8 04:22:10 sarajevo kernel: testing the IO APIC.......................
Aug 8 05:59:29 sarajevo kernel: testing the IO APIC.......................
Aug 8 06:18:08 sarajevo kernel: testing the IO APIC.......................
Aug 8 06:26:09 sarajevo kernel: testing the IO APIC.......................
Aug 8 08:26:32sarajevo kernel: testing the IO APIC.......................


Do you know what this means
