- Do read the README and the FAQ that came with RKH,
- Do read the comments in the rkhunter.conf,
- When it says "Please check the log file" then do check /var/log/rkhunter.log,
- Don't use "unhide.rb" (weak) but 'unhide',
- Search LQ for similar posts,
- Search the rkhunter-users mailing list archives for similar questions as that's the first source of help the developers suggested.

A potential anomaly was noticed. Verify the file is as it should be using your package manager (if so capable). If it is not permissible then investigate events leading to the change. Else, from the FAQ:

In your first case verify the file is as it should be using your package manager and in the second case check if you installed an application that required the group.
