however, there are things that you can limit... make sure taht ALL services are OFF... (netstat -an should come up almost totally empty). recompile lilo so that it won't listen for any type of break prior to loading the kernel. in fact, you could shut off terminals completly and rely on a firewall protected, ssh listening on a high port running as non-root... you would be smart to limit access to the box on every port (ipchains or iptables will be helpfull for this)...
