LDAP authentication without local account

Hi All,

I am using LDAP authentication for my server. (Fedora 11). It works fine.

But every LDAP account needs a local account. Is it possible to use LDAP without a local account ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks
Vivek

Yes of course, this question has been asked several times.
Maybe an other poster will tell you step by step.
But I'll only tell you where you've to keep an eye on.

1. /etc/nsswitch.conf (in this file you tell the system where to look for authentification)
2. /etc/pam.d/ ---files--- (here you can set additional options)

there're some good how to's around on the net.
