Hell all expert Linux administrator, i have a noob question about how to install ipt_recent module.

I have google it and i found out some information but this is not enough for me to install it correctly.

therefore, i need a stpe by step guide on how to install additional module and compile the kernel.

I totally a beginner in linux and i have not even compile kernel for myself.

There's a good change it's already compiled as a module, and will be loaded if a rule
calls for it, e.g.
Code:
iptables -A ssh_chain -m recent --rcheck --seconds 30 -j ssh_attack
Without running iptables, you can see if you have the module by doing a
Code:
locate ipt_recent
or by checking your kernel config file (could be /boot/config) for this line:
Code:
CONFIG_IP_NF_MATCH_RECENT=m
