Smile In stalling Snort


Hey,To all

Well once again here for your help i am about to install
Snort,iptables,tripwire of also added rkhunter,chkrootkit

now for Snort i think i have my first problem well not sure
if this is stell a problem or not talking about this link here.

i don't think it has anything to do with me i'm on suse9.0 Pro
just want to make sure. now i also have to install these here
libpcap & tcpdump they are in tar.gz.

which i know how to install but where would one install them to
do i install both in the same place with Snort???

ok guy's i will hold off on doing this tell i get a
head's up from you all.

Hey.All

Hmmm i should have added this from the start.
do i install all of these things before i go online
to update all of Suse, or after i install all the updates
out there. i have not been online with suse

not sure if it would be a good idea tell i get
all of these things installed first. let me hear it
