I am having a problem here but i don't kow weather it's normal or just messing up.
I want to be able to have admin access just like the root but wothout logging as root. When I log in to my regular account and type in the shell:
su
than the admin password
it than changes to [root@localhost <name>]#, now i know this means that i have admin privelages, but still there are things i am still restricted in doing, for example: i can't edit anythign in readonly documents on text editor (only when i log on as root), it still asks me for root password when i try to open certain applications, especially in the system settings?
How can i have full root control through my account without this happening?
this is regards to redhat 8
thanks.
