We have some web sites in our server they have vb program, and they Hacked by someone.

Really we don't know if there are real hacker or there are some open ports in our server or there are mistake with the vb !

So please provide us with the best right way to check and secure our server .

What was done that you think you were hacked? Was there something in a log?

What ports are you allowing through your firewall? What is your password policy? Does tripwire reveal any compromised binaries? Did they gain root? Do the sites have anything in common?

We need lots more information.
