What does it give you that the free openssl FIPS 140 doesn't?

Hello All,

In addition to SmallPond's response assuming that I haven't misunderstood your question and that you have installed the required prerequisites for FIPS 140-2 compliance why not simply use the software that comes pre-packaged with your CentOS / RHEL distro - if you want it straight from the horses mouth so to speak why not use the official steps as per:https://access.redhat.com/solutions/307523#rhel7 - simply create a free RedHat account and you're good to go. As i'm using RedHat 8 I simply ran the command fips-mode-setup --enable and then I was good to go.

Regards,

Rawcous
