Changin password on remote pc


Helo friends


i want to change password of non-root account on a remote computer ....can you tell me how to do it withouy using ssh.......
is there any script that can change password...so that i can transfer that file to remote computer

Of course you can write a script to call passwd with --stdin option, Question is how will you run the script on the remote machine ?

I suppose you could set up a cron job to look for a particular file, and if that file is present then execute another script you've previously created which will then change the password. Problem with this is what will the password be? It would need to be saved in that 2nd file and you would have to code for the password being verified and all.
No easy task but I suppose you could do it. My question would be why?
