Just configure a firewall and if you are new to firewalls just do a google search on the firewall name and gui options for the firewall. everyone should run a firewall as the first line of defense anyway

Firewall smirewall ... don't run services that you don't want accessed. Firewalls are pretty easy to fool, but a closed port is a closed port. Yes firewalls are important, but this view of "a firewall will fix your problems no matter what they are" is getting a bit tired.

As for the OP's question -- What are you trying to do? Are you trying to block incoming traffic from a public IP or outgoing NAT traffic to a public IP? Your post is fairly ambiguous in that regard.

No one said a firewall was going to fix all your problems we said you can block the ip address with it. And yes firewalls are very usefull but you are right they can be curcumvented with a bit of effort and research. But that wasnt the question now was it??
