Access rights on folders and files.

Hello All,
I need your input for the below query.

If i have all the access right to a perticumar folder.Does it means that we have all the rights files inside folder too.

to me more specific: suppose if i have folder "ABC" I have all the rights on it " rwxrwxrwx(777) does it means i will have the same access rights on files under "ABC" folder.

Welcome to the forums!

Each file and sub-folder can have its own rights, separate from the parent folder. Hope that helps.

@Showpine: thnaks for the reply.

Actually I am using an external tool for creating PDF files under a folder(I have all the rights on this folder).Files creating under this directory have aceess rw-rw-r. i need to change permissions on these files to rw-rw-rw wheneven they are genrerated.As a java developer I checked the code and permissions are not set by the code.
How can i change the permissions on the file to rw-rw-rw when they are generated automatically with the help of tool(I know that we can change it through Linux command)

No you do not. What you want to do first is to explain the problem that makes you mistake this for a "solution".

No. As developer you must live, breathe and practice safe hex. Without an understanding of basic safe coding rules you and your "code" become a liability, a risk, for anyone that comes in contact with it.
