yum and update mamager "error in transaction"

I have reinstalled a clean fedora 4
When I want to update with yum extended it says:
"Checking GPG signatures."
"error in transaction"
Update manager does not work either.
I can go on Internet normally, and use http://rpm.pbone.net/ to
get new packages and install them.
What can I do too get yum extended working.

Code:
#rpm --import http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/os/RPM-GPG-KEY
Run yum after executing that command.

Can you post the whole error message and what exactly you tried to do.

I got so tirred and frustrated I deleted everything and installed mandriva 2005 LE.
I was my secound install of fedora 4; the fist with standard desctop, the later with all packages. It worked fine on first install, so I guess it would again if I had reinstall it again, but I thought if I have to reinstall I wanted to check tha latest mandriva.
Thanks for you help.

Try version 2006 when its released, its shaping up to be a good distro.
