Xlib: connection to "192.168.0.10:2.0" refused by server

I do also get the no protocol specified error.

on machine 1:

Code:
one:~$xinit -- :2
one:~$ssh user@two
two:~$export DISPLAY=one:2
Xlib: connection to "one" refused by server
Xlib: no protocol specified
How do I gain acceptance? Refused by my own kin...

Usually, X gets started with the -nolisten tcp switch, which prevents it from accepting connections over the net. You will have to follow the twisty dark tunnels of the X startup scripts to locate where that gets applied and make the appropriate mods. On my RH system, it seems to be in /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf.
