xfce4 runs slow


I recently installed xfce4 and app launch seems to run slower than kde, any ideas on why this is and anything i can do to speed it up?

If you are trying to launch a KDE application, it'll be slower because none of the KDE components are loaded. So it has to load them when you first launch the application instead of at the DE startup.

you know i thought that might be it, b/c most of the ones that i'm thinking of use the kde libs....thanks
