Windows 2000 Boot issue after install of Fedora Core on 2nd HDD
Installed Fedora on hdb
Win2k Pro on hda
When grub loader comes up I have chosen to boot Windows by default.
Windows will not boot.
Grub represented win as the following
rootnoverify (hd0,4)
chainloader+1
this would not boot so I used edit on the menu and changed to (hd0,0) and it booted fine. Went back to Linux and edited grub.conf to read (hd0,0) and it will not boot.
Copy of the grub.conf file is below
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You do not have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /, eg.
# root (hd1,0)
# kernel /boot/vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/hdb1
# initrd /boot/initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/hda
default=1
timeout=10
splashimage=(hd1,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title Fedora Core (2.4.22-1.2115.nptl)
root (hd1,0)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl ro root=LABEL=/ hdc=ide-scsi rhgb
initrd /boot/initrd-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.img
title DOS
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
Any suggestions on how to make this work would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JC
