Unhappy windowmaker

Hi,

My computer starts failsafe by default. But I want to start windowmaker by default.

So I tried to stop failsafe by pressing ctrl + alt + F2 and tried to start windowmaker:
startx windowmaker

But then I get this error messege:
fatal error: could not open display ""

How can I start windowmaker???

try 'switchdesk' from console.or just create/edit a .xinitrc(<dot>xinitrc) file in your home directory and add a linux like 'windowmaker' or 'exec windowmaker'.also make sure that you have installed windowmaker.('which windowmaker' for that)
