Why my 80 gig hard drive only shows 70 gig?

Why my 80 gig hard drive only shows 70 gig in capacity (shown via KDiskFree utility)? I know that some spaces are used for format, but my 80 gig hard drive shows 75 gig capacity in my Windows 2000 system. This is like 5 gig difference (almost 10%). It's kind of a lot difference, isn't it?

And how big is your swap file? Do you have seperate home and usr partitions? Did you not choose your full drive when you installed?

This is my second hard drive, I put my swap in my master hard drive. I mount my master on /, and my slave on /usr/local. That means my /usr is in my /dev/hda correct? Below is the snapshot of the fdisk display.

do df -h and it will show us all your partitions. Most likely you have another partition just taking up space.
