Where do I upload a template for Gnumeric

hi,

1. am delighted to put You Localize Setup IME in public
domain. This is to mega bug some of my friends that have been messing around with OOo 1.1 to produce localizations in Hindi, and Tamil and there are a hundred more while I find that kids all around me to be geniuses. I depend on them many times to figure out things, for example a fancy mobile phone. In less than half an hour they are telling me, still reading the manual, pressing what does what! If they can do that they can learn English and translate themselves.

I have also developed "You Localize", a simple Calc template for users to translate menu item trees in their own language themselves. This helps students, teachers and others to start using OpenOffice Calc quickly, methodically and thoroughly. You Localize has only a portion of the Menu tree of Calc, students can complete it is a learning project. "You Localize", Calc template has hyperlinks with Calc and opens another copy of Calc!. This helps students and users to understand what can be done with Calc

Now I have done this in my friend Bill Gate's awesome product WINDOWS.

1. I like Gnumeric in Windows environment. And would like to upload the templates for users there - I know most of them are Linux users.
2. I have decided to give Linux a try because I think it will give a chance to program/relearn programming. (And know what greps are).

I rate spreadsheet software as being the greatest invention of mankind after the lever. And I am going to jot down what I am learning.

regards and happiness to all.

For users: In terminal
Quote:
<version> is the Gnumeric version you are running
.
1. Find Gnumeric version:
Code:
gnumeric -v
2. Make needed folders
Code:
mkdir -p ~/.gnumeric/<version>/{plugins,templates}
3. Save templates in templates folder and plugins in plugins folder.

For System: Save to /usr/gnumeric/<version>/templates.

For info on writing python functions, http://projects.gnome.org/gnumeric/d...-writing.shtml. The Table of Contents is at http://projects.gnome.org/gnumeric/doc/gnumeric.shtml. It has a wealth of information that you will need for configuring and using Gnumeric.
