I have Mint 18.2 Sonya. I've been using it a while superficially. I am starting to have problems so I signed up for a Linux Mint class but lots of things aren't working as the instructor demonstrates. I can't access system settings from the panel, the menu or favorites. I found a thread on this forum about system settings but totally do not understand the answer. Any simple solution to this?
I have created a bootable USB with the latest version of Mint. I would like to replace my older, glitchy Sonya 18.2 with Ulyana 20 but the only instructions I find are for installing it over WIN or MAC. How to do this? Thanks!
As this question is unrelated to this thread, you probably should have started a new thread for it.
If Mint is the only OS on the computer, back up any essential data, boot to the installer on the USB stick, and follow the instructions. They are quite straightforward.
