I'm sure this is a very newbie thing to ask, but what is CVS snapshot? It appears to be a captured config utility, but I don't know how to use it or how to get install a captured image. I have seen snapshots of configs for freeradius, something i am trying to test at work, but I don't know what they are for sure or how to benefit from them. Thanks for any help...
I appreciate the warning david, nothing is in production this is in a controlled test lan off the main network, so CVS snapshot is non-tested version of the app?
So I'm not bothering anyone with mundane questions, if there is a site that can answer some of these super basic questions i would appreciate a link I have not been able to find one that didn't assume that i had some knowledge of linux
CVS isn't non-tested more like "in testing" as such - it has not been declared stable by the developers it is latest files as they are being worked on by the developers. Some problems you may be experiencing may be solved but there are likely to be some that have been created.
