/var/log/messages avahi-daemon[2025]: Invalid query packet

The /var/log/messages log is filling up with this message it repeats every 3 seconds or so

avahi-daemon[2025]: Invalid query packet

Not sure how to proceed
Avahi version 6.25-11el6
RHEL 6.3 KERNEL LINUX 2.6.32-279.EL6.X86_64

Has anyone experienced this issue?

Haven't. Two things to try: increasing daemon output verbosity ("--debug"?) and capturing packets (use a BPF filter for the port or ports). Correlate time stamp of syslogged messages with what you see running analysis in Wireshark.
