First, this isn't urgent for anyone but you. Don't flag your posts as urgent...we volunteer our time to help folks. Also, try to write and spell clearly.....

Second, your post makes very little sense.

You have two kernels installed, one from the initial build, the other from an update...no problems there, since the machine obviously boots fine. If you don't have a graphics card, how exactly are you getting a picture on your screen????

Chances are when you changed your compiz settings, it corrupted a file. Log in as a different user, and remove the (I'm assuming you're using KDE), the .kde4 directory in your home directory. Log back in...you'll have to set your desktop up again, but you won't lose any data.

Again, please spell and write clearly, it helps everyone to understand what you mean, and for you to get help.

As before, log in as a different user. Instead of deleting your .kde4 directory, delete your user's .gnome2 directory. You'll have to set your desktop up again, but it should work.

You don't say what settings you changed to get into this situation, nor if you're getting any errors in your system logs. Can you check your syslogs, and see if there are any errors???

i think he means to login as root and delete the .gnome2 directory for the $HOME of the user that has the issue.

Exactly...I mentioned "your home directory" in my first post. Good catch, never hurts to me more clear...
