Uppercase Lowercase issue

I am using Kali Linux and in the terminal while I am writing something then
1. At times all letters are getting typed as capital (irrespective of CapsLock on/off)
2. At times all letters are getting typed as small (irrespective of CapsLock on/off)
3. At times mixed (In this case suppose I have started to write sth then suddenly if I require to write anything in capital then the next set of typing is getting done in capital

My examples

nmap -Pn (here after starting to type nmap in small when I am doing capslock to make the "P" capital then the next "n" is not taking in small after changing the capslock, the next n is getting typed as N making the flag as -PN

At times even if I have not made the capslock on then also the letters are getting typed in capital for example NMAP......

Unknowingly things are changing

Any solution??

Do you use a Citrix connection?
There I have seen a sudden capslock status mismatch.

Not that I have any suggested solutions here. Debug/diagnose suggestions.

Does SHIFT work normally?
Do problems occur randomly or only after you've used the CAPSLOCK?
Check keyboard settings?
Assuming CAPSLOCK works correctly with another OS?

It may also be a keyboard problem, the CapsLock or Shift keys might be stuck. If you have a way to test with another keyboard you can rule that out and it will be a software problem.

Yep, first thing I'd check is keyboard. Test with another known good keyboard. I think it would be very unlikely to be a software problem.

99.98% sure it's a bum keyboard. They're not well-made anymore.
