update problem "Attribute error object has no attribute 'rsplit'

Fedora 11 on eeepc900ha recentlty installed.
Trying to update software (402 packages) and get this error report:

Traceback (most recent call last):

pkg = self._getPackage(name)
File "/usr/share/PackageKit/helpers/yum/yumBackend.py", line 2534, in _getPackage
sections = name.rsplit('-', 2)
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'rsplit'

question is what do I do now?
second question - should I inform anyone else about this problem?

second try at this download:
selected about 30 of the 402 packages, this selection did not include pre-upgrade. WhEn download started it was at pre-upgrade the process seemed to stall. It looked like the download was attempting to transfer this file then went back to the start of transferring this file until the same traceback error as above was repeated. ??
