Ubuntu/KDE Plasma/Logitech M220 Wireless Mouse - Scroll Wheel Not Working

Alienware ASM100
Ubuntu 20.04 - just ran apt update && apt upgrade
KDE Plasma desktop
Logitech M220 Wireless mouse

Middle-click works, it is only the scrolling that does not. It does work on my Mac.

Thanks for any help.

Are you saying the the scroll wheel was working before you upgraded?


Open a terminal, run "xev", then put the mouse cursor inside the small window that appears - if you then scroll up/down do you get events relating to button 4/5 listed in the terminal?

Well, it seems Logitech is somewhat negligent when it comes to Linux support. Can y'all suggest another mouse?

Another bit of weirdness...
