Ok now i need to uninstall the other version in /usr/local, any ideas?

OK i installed it finally i used both DAWS and Konsole's help, so thankyou to the both of you, heres all the steps just incase someone stumbles upon them.

1. cp jre-1_5_0_07-linux-i586.bin /usr/local/bin
2. cd /usr/local/bin
3. chmod +x jre-1_5_0_07-linux-i586.bin
4. ./jre-1_5_0_07-linux-i586.bin

5. ln -sv /usr/local/bin jre1.5.0_07/bin/ /usr/local/bin/
6. java -version

Now i need to install azureus.

got it sort of

ok i got azureus running however when i download a torrent the firefox download bar just sits there saying either nothing or that the torrent file has been downloaded. When i look in azureus nothing is in it and the torrent file has not been saved to the directory where the torrent files go.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

you should simply download the torrent file to your home directory (cd ~) or desktop. run azureus then load the file in azureus.

and also when trying to download the torrent file try doing right-click then save target as instead.
