Trouble finding free training material for the LP1 exam

Dear all,
as suggested looking for free past exam papers for LP1 as am cuurently unemployed etc. Training courses in the UK and, where present, out of my price range: mostly geared for companies. The general library is a fair source but need to know more about the exam structure. Any ideas folks?

There are reference books, but no prior exam questions

If you take LPIC exams, you are also pledging not to go use prior exam questions or to visit web sites that advertise to have these. It is considered a breach to do so.

Your best bet is to get a cheap test system and some certification books. The certification sub forum has a lot of discussion on which exam is the best to take. LPIC certification texts are available from many publishers, including O'Reilly.

I'm also hoping one of the moderators will move this to the Certification forum.

Perhaps loading your favorite browser with ammunition (search words 'lp1' and 'exam'), and aim that browser at www.google.com/linux and pull the trigger. I had no difficulty finding examples free but for the cost of an internet connection and the time to download.
