trouble booting from Fedora 11 & 12 Live KDE CD

Hi

I have been trying for days to boot into Fedora from a live KDE CD.

I first tried F12 and then reverted to F11 which gives me exactly the same problem.

Firstly if I just let it boot I get to a login screen for Liveuser and I have been unable to find the password for Liveuser. Root did not work either.

However I found that booting into runlevel 3 and then loggin as root did not require a password. So I set a password and then try and startx but all I get is the Fedora loading screen which eventually freezes. At this point I have to manual restart, ctr+alt+backspace no longer works.

I am running it on an old celeron 2.6GHz with a Gig of ram and onboard graphics.

Please could someone help.

'Liveuser' does not have password. Boot with F12 live cd and when you reach login screen just click on 'liveuser'. You should be taken to the desktop.

I have searched the liveuser password issue extensively and it seems that on some configurations, it is not possible to log in automatically. Something happens which requires liveuser to have a password. Dont ask me how but it is so. I have two different computers and on both (with F12 and F11) liveuser needs a password. When I use the same CD's on my laptop it does log right in without passwords. Very strange??

However that is not my question. My question is how can I configure X so that it starts without hanging? I have tried "Xorg -configure" but when I test the config file I get a black screen. When I try startx it hangs.

Is there anyone who is able to assist?
