Totem : Can't play a text file without video.

I'm getting the message "Can't play a text file without video." when trying to play an avi-file in Totem movie player.

Code:
Package totem-2.28.5-1.fc12.i686 already installed and latest version
Problem with movie-codec ? How do I know which one I need ??

go to rpmfusion.org if you are missing restricted codecs.
The easy way out is to install all available codecs

Install relevant packages with yumex or the other package manager.

Kaffeine can download some codecs automatically

It may be a totem problem. Try with kaffeine or mplayer or vlc
