to change mouse scrolling direction


anyone knows how to reverse mouse scrolling direction?

Hmmm, maybe you must change a line in your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4: there is a line

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

Which means your mouse scrolls. Maybe you should change the 4 and 5.

No idea if it will work! Never tried it... It's just a gues...

thnx dude! i changed the order and now it works great!

Option "ZAxisMapping" "5 4"

your guess was right ;]

comporell, just asking: why would u want to change it ?? u hold ur mouse backwards ???

actually no. it's very hard to control the mouse if u hold it backwards lol

i'm more comfortable with reversed mouse scroll. it's just a different way of thinkin: when scrolling, normal people(that use the scroll normally) thinks in 2d, upwards and downwards. but paranormal people(like myself) use it in a 3 dimensional space. it's just makes you feel more at ease, in control of the page you're scrollin.

maybe it feels like driving a car or cycling a bike, like a wheel: when you scroll upward, the downside of the mouse goes down

I think I'm gonna try it too, must be fun

it's more like piloting a plane lol try it u'll see the spirit within in 2 days. and later on, were gonna rule the world!!!! hahahaaa
