Hiyall,
I am trying to become a member of Tiny Core Linux's forum. I have tried with two different user names, passwords, etc and still have not received an activation code.
If anyone here has access to their Admin or could post a message on their forum, I would be grateful if you explain my plight.
My email is: [removed]
In some cases where I've registered to a forum, it took 30 minutes to receive an activation/verification email.
I tried to do a little homework for you, and only found the About Us page, which lists admins, but apparently requires you to already be a forum member. Bit of an oversight on their part.

This is typically a bad idea. Using multiple names could flag you as a spammer on many forums.
There's a buggy face-match captcha to even access the registration page, then THREE further captchas on the actual registration page - that's disappointingly hostile. :/
Anyhow, there appears to be an IRC channel, so you could try connecting to tinycorelinux via https://webchat.freenode.net/ and asking there?
wpeckham,
Yes I do realise however being so new, I will probably need some help. Anyway it's much more fun with others. I'm not short of either computers, OSs or DEs.
Why not? The above webchat link allows joining as a guest, so you need neither an account nor an IRC client.

Of course, you are welcome to ask TinyCore questions here on LQ.
It might take longer to get to a solution for some questions, and you'll want to be sure to make it clear that you're using TinyCore each time (since certain aspects are more different than typical distros), but there are people on LQ using it.
I remember back to 2013, when I was starting out with Linux.
After joining the TinyCore forum (the process was simpler in those days), the only answer I got to the simplest of queries were variations on "RTFM!" This bugged me; I tend to research the hell out of most things before admitting defeat and reaching out for assistance, but the forum team at that time didn't seem to want to help anyone, and apparently ran the forum as a kind of cosy "old boys club"......and you had to already be a member of long-standing to get anywhere.
I quickly gave it up as a bad job, and never returned.
Mike,
I reached the same conclusion quite rapidly as well. Today there are countless 'tiny' DEs from countless sources.
I am currently building my own quite specialised DE based on antiX-386-core.
Distribution: Mainly Devuan, antiX, & Void, with Tiny Core, Fatdog, & BSD thrown in.

Their (free download) book 'Into The Core', whilst having been written before UEFI, is still a very useful read for anyone starting out with Tiny Core Linux. http://tinycorelinux.net/corebook.pdf
