Cool Terminal problem

Hi All

Can some help me, when I am in a terminal session and I want to come out of a session you would normally type "exit" to close your terminal session. Now it just clears the session and goes back to root all the time....How can I resolve this problem .....I am running Redhat 9.x..!

Thanks

Are you logging in as root first?

Why do you do that? If you log in as root and su to another user then when you type exit it will take you back to root and you will have to type exit again (you could use ctrl+d). Just log in as the user and su to root when you need to.
