Question

Hi, I've just installed Linux - Mandarke v7.2 and during the installation, it asks me what user I want to log on by default (or something to that effect) and what GUI I wanted to use so I picked the default (KDE). However, when I boot to Linux, I come to the comand prompt.

My question is, how do I start a windows system from the command ($) prompt?

Thanks in advance!

By typing startx, you should be in KDE by default since that is what you stated. If you installed GNOME or any other window manager, you can try this at the command instead of startx, try kdm. This should load another graphical login prompt where it then gives you an option to login to KDE, GNOME or any other window manager installed.
