Squirrelmail Configuration on Centos 5

Hi, I have recently acquired a Centos 5 co-hosted server to which I only have command line access.

I have several virtual hosts set up and would like to enable squirrelmail to run on all domains.

I have courier IMAP running, have installed squirrelmail from an RPM package and I believe have gone through the conf.pl file setting all parameters I need to set.

Do I now need to edit the httpd.conf to enable it to run all domains.

I have looked for this information but can't seem to find any tutorial which deals with my exact situation.

Currently I only get a blank page when I try to access squirrelmail via http://www.domainname.com/webmail

PHP has display errors temporarily turned on but no error is displayed.

Can anyone offer advice on this please?

Have you tried http://www.domainname.com/webmail/src/configtest.php ? That should point you to what is going on with your blank page. Use that for troubleshooting until you have the basic thing working. You should normally be able to get information from http://squirrelmail.org/docs/admin/admin-12.html and http://squirrelmail.org/wiki/SolvingProblems, but the squirrelmail server was compromised on June 16, so they don't have everything available right this moment (they emphasize that source control for squirrelmail is on sourceforge and that was not compromised).

As far as having it work on multiple hosted domains ... I have not done that before. I have squirrelmail running on physical servers that each serve only one email domain. I'm sure you could get there by having multiple instances of the squirrelmail code, each in its own directory, for each domain. You would have to run conf.pl for each instance.

Note: It appears the docs at squirrelmail.org are working, but the wiki is not.

Thanks

I have looked at the tutorials/support in the locations you suggested and have tried a few things.

I cannot get output from the configtest.php file either and ambeginning to wonder if my configuration problem is with php rather than squirrelmail itself.

I will do some further checking, thanks for your response anyway.

We could help troubleshoot your configuration with more information. Did you set up php in your httpd.conf? Did you add index.php for indexes so that squirrelmail would get initiated? There is a bunch of documentation on php.net, although it may be a little hard to find. I found http://us3.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.apache.php and http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.apache2.php which might be helpful if you haven't gone through those details (note the two links are for the two main branches of apache).
