squid cache directory size


Hi

i have centos 5.3 with squid proxy 2.6 installed , from few days my internet is very slow , i want to ask below query

1) should i define squid cache directory size as it is shows commented.

2) it is good to define squid cache directory size as it caches on disk otherwise it may slow sown browsing

AGAIN, we will ask you to read the squid documentation, and read about what changing the cache directory size will do to your installation. And if you think it's a good idea, why don't you just TRY IT, and see what happens?? Perhaps read the suggestions you've received before about flushing the squid cache? You have been working with Squid for THREE YEARS now...shouldn't doing the basics be part of what you try first?
