Dear hcvv,
I am sorry I am having some teething problems here. I thought since I was posting to a different forum than before, I have to make a fresh post. Besides this is something that Mrmazda asked me to post here and is much more detailed than the previous one.. So if it's possible please consider restoring the thread so that it reaches its target audience.

You did manage to create an identical thread twice. He deleted only one of the two threads you started.

I neglected to ask for all needed information during your boot using the USB stick. Please boot with the USB stick again and show output from:

sudo blkid
sudo parted -l
cat /etc/fstab
efibootmgr -v
on the openSUSE forum thread.
